Dimitar Berbatov wants Erik ten Hag to be a success at Man United.

Ten Hag will take over as manager of Manchester United at the end of the current season after being appointed as the club's new manager earlier this week.

Erik ten Hag has been advised by Dimitar Berbatov that he will need to win the Premier League in order to be regarded a success at Manchester United.

Ten Hag was officially announced as Manchester United's new manager this week, with the 52-year-old due to take charge at the end of the current campaign. The club will be expecting him with a massive task upon his arrival, following a season that has been a disappointment at Old Trafford.

Despite winning the game 3-1 against Arsenal, Manchester United's chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season are all but dead. Six points separate Manchester United from fourth place in the Premier League and a struggle for a European position with just four games remaining.

There will be a lot of excitement as Ralf Rangnick's successor, Ten Hag, assumes the helm. After a turbulent year, the signing of the Dutchman offers the club some much-needed optimism.

Berbatov, a former United striker, has advised his former team to give Ten Hag time before judging him next season, claiming he can't be judged on. The Bulgarian, on the other hand, has informed the Ajax manager that he will be required to end United's long wait for a second title.

'I don't want to be overly hopeful at this point because we've experienced this in the past with all of the great managers who have been at United,' Berbatov said in an interview with Betfair. This is a fair assessment, given the current state of affairs." Realistically, let's see what happens and not get ahead of ourselves.

The job he has ahead of him is enormous, and we're looking at a rebuild that will be the largest in European football history. Many people have spoken about players coming and going, and sadly, something needs to be done because it was clear against Liverpool the other night that there is a significant gap in the squad's experience level.

"I hope that the club will give Ten Hag the time he requires; we cannot judge him on the basis of next season's performance; that would be unfair; and we cannot expect a miracle when the team has been in such a precarious position for so long."

The fact that things will happen immediately next season will be a miracle." Ten Hag will be regarded a success if United can win the Premier League once more, which will be considered a major accomplishment for me. That is the level that Manchester United must strive to meet.
