Mourns over Manchester United's Erik ten Hag's inability to adapt to a new system

Decisions must be made at Manchester United's Old Trafford by Erik ten Hag, the club's incoming manager.

While the present team has a number of issues, the Dutchman's style of football could lead to even more issues.

With certain players throwing in the towel too early this season, I believe that the club should trust Ten Hag's judgment and realize that he will soon be the most important person at the club.

He'll fail like prior managers if he doesn't grasp this concept.

Some of United's players, such as Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard, are out of contract at the end of the season; nevertheless, there are others who may have difficulty adjusting to Ten Hag's style of play.

Ten Hag, like Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, views his goalkeeper as an 11th outfield player. Ten Hag is not alone. To be a part of their teams, they need to be good ballplayers. If you recall, Pep Guardiola didn't consider Joe Hart as a long-term player.

United could face a similar situation, although it would likely take more than one season before it happens there as well..

David de Gea's appropriateness for Ten Hag's style is a worry because of the keeper's importance in constructing play and passing out of the back, according to reports from ESPN.

We've seen De Gea struggle with the ball at his feet for a long time, and this is one of his weaknesses. Ten Hag's system requires him to come off his line frequently, but he doesn't do that.

There is no denying that we are talking about Manchester United's finest goalkeeper this season, but one who has fallen behind in the contemporary game.

Ten Hag does not believe that De Gea's inability to play in a possession-based style and withstand pressure from the opposition is a major problem that needs to be addressed this summer.

If De Gea does not sign a new deal, it is possible that he will be out of a job by the end of the current season.
