After winning Player of the Month, Cristiano Ronaldo sets a new record.

The 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo has broken another another record in a spectacular season. Even if Manchester United have had a catastrophic season on the field, Ronaldo's goal scoring has shown no signs of slowing down.

When he returned to United last season, the Portugal international had a great first season and was named the league's Player of the Month for September. With his five goals, he was able to defeat the likes of Thiago Alcantara, Kevin De Bruyne, and even Son Heung-min.

Sixth time he wins the prize for Manchester United player, a record for that club. Wayne Rooney, who has won the accolade five times, was previously even with him, according to Opta.

As of now, Cristiano Ronaldo has one year left on his contract with Manchester United, and it is unclear whether he will extend his two-year term.

Erik ten Hag is expected to take over as Manchester United manager at the end of the season, but losing the club's star man and leading scorer would be a major setback for Ten Hag.

So far in the last eight games, Cristiano Ronaldo has netted six of United's goals. Regardless, he's definitely a part of the solution rather than the problem.
