In this article, we will provide a comprehensive explanation of the IIE-SRF Fellowship, including its many advantages and the application process broken down step by step.
The IIE-SRF Fellowship 2022-2023 is a scholarship opportunity for overseas students that is completely funded. This grant is intended to support PhD students in their research endeavors. A visiting academic appointment of up to one year's duration can be supported by an IIE-SRF Fellowship, which consists of a grant of up to US$25,000 and individual health insurance for the recipient.
Researchers who are working in the field of liberty and security can continue their work at universities and other higher education institutions in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, thanks to the support of the Baden-Württemberg Fund, which provides funding for visiting research appointments at these institutions. Researchers who face immediate and targeted threats to their life and/or careers in their home nations or nations of permanent residence, or who have recently fled such threats, are eligible to participate in the program. Eligible researchers include teachers, senior scientists, and government intellectuals from any nation, academic field, or discipline.
The IIE Scholar Rescue Fund was established in 2002 by Dr. Henry Jarecki, Dr. Henry Kaufman, and Mr. Thomas Russo. This was done in response to the commitment made by the trustees of the Institute for International Education (IIE) to ensure that rescuing scholars is an ongoing component of the Institute's work (IIE-SRF). Ever since the Institute for International Education (IIE) was established in 1919, one of its primary goals has been to ensure the safety of vulnerable academics and students. IIE has demonstrated its commitment to defending the right to freedom of thought and the search of information, beginning with the Bolshevik Revolution and continuing through the Hungarian Uprising.
