FIRST AND FINAL PRINCIPLE OF SUCCESS

Show Up that's the FIRST AND FINAL PRINCIPLE OF SUCCESS

The FIRST and the FINAL principle of SUCCESS is to show up daily.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 said; “whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.”

I don’t care how small the business or whatever your are doing maybe...

Just show up with all zealousness to bring the best into it.

Don’t joke with it because it’s small.....

Never.

Who knows.

It might be in that small business that you will be lifted up, but you can’t be lifted if you don’t treat it as though that is the best thing in the world.

Naysayers may try to talk you down, don’t ever give heed to their rumour, just keep developing thyself.

At the end of the day nobody wins a triumph for talking people down ....

It’s always the ones who are doing something that excel and win triumphs.

You may not know the import of showing up strong in what you do all the time.

But,

Accountability demands you do so.

Have you ever heard about NO MOI MOI left over?

Well,

This a story of a lady in Lagos state who left her job at a secondary school called Corona to start selling moi moi.

Finding a place to grow her trade was now difficult.

After much ado, she decided she’d go back to the school she used to work at, to see if she could sell them some of her Moi-Moi at the gate.

Remember, her friends in that Corona warned her not leave the job.

Most of you won’t near the school again because of shame.

My dear shame won’t pay your house rent or train your children in school oh.

According to an interview Ayo Megbope had, she said:

“I would show up in my rickety Peugeot car, with wraps of moin-moin in a cooler.

I would stand at the school gate, and begin to call each parent by their first name or their children’s names, and attempt to sell them moi-moi.

They were used to seeing me in skirt or trouser suits, but were now seeing me in Ankara outfits. It was an humbling experience.

They were like, shebi we told you not to leave Corona but you did, see what you are selling now. Moi Moi. This is bad….but i sold still.”

She didn’t take their word serous because she knows they are naysayers doing their job.

Any fool can criticize, complain, and condemn--and most fools do." --Dale Carnegie

Here is the interesting part of her story.

As she kept showing up daily,  her expertise starts to grow beyond Corona secondary school gate, other people now starts to invite her to cook for banks and organisations.

Anyways.....

To cut the story short.

Some people came from USA to Lagos Nigeria for an invent and she was opportunistic enough to be the one that cooked moi moi for them.

Believe me she thrilled everyone with her sweet moi moi.

Fast forward to some months later she was invited by the then America First Lady Michelle Obama to come and serve her moi moi no left over at the White House USA.?

Guys White House ....common.

Currently she is making $100k ( #60 million ) and above from moi moi, and she have received several awards.

Never ever neglect putting in your best in what you do.

Our people say “do the things you are doing very well, for you don’t know who is watching.”

Echi di imme (tomorrow is pregnant)......

Finally, don’t be pressured by the society in their quick success syndrome....

....truth be told.

No matter what anyone might have told you ......Every great thing takes time.

Keep showing up daily you don’t know who is watching you.

Ps: remember, this is not just a story I heard! Nope.

I was in a zoom meeting where she shared the story herself, it was my friend Dr Adelola that invited her to speak to a couple of us how she succeed with her moi moi to the international recognition.

I hope this is helpful.....?

On that note, till I come your way again.
