Believes that he "didn't do terribly" when competing against the star of Manchester United

WHAT CAME TO PASS? Alves and Ronaldo have engaged in a number of bouts against one another throughout Alves' career, particularly during the pair's time playing in La Liga, and the fullback acknowledges that Ronaldo is the most difficult opponent he has ever faced.

WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY: "Cristiano Ronaldo. This jackass won't give you a moment's break to catch your breath. I wouldn't say I did horribly, but it was challenging. He is an unstoppable point-getter "When asked who their hardest opponent was, the Brazilian responded by telling Marca.

THE BIGGER PICTURE: Alves competed against Ronaldo when the Portuguese forward was at the height of his powers, and despite the fierce competition between Barcelona and Real Madrid, the Brazilian did not hesitate to choose Ronaldo, who is now 37 years old, as the player who gave him the greatest trouble.

DID YOU KNOW That during his time with Barcelona, Dani Alves won a total of six titles in the La Liga, while Ronaldo was only able to bring home two titles with Real Madrid? The Brazilian won a total of 28 trophies in Spain, including those that he won while playing for Sevilla (not including three Catalunya titles). In the meantime, Ronaldo increased his total goals scored to 15, becoming Real Madrid's all-time leading scorer in the process.

WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR RONALDO? The Portuguese players will now be a part of the Portugal national team, which will compete in the Nations League on September 25 and September 28, respectively, against the Czech Republic and Spain. The Manchester derby, which will take place on October 2, is the next match that United will play.
