Raphael Varane demands United teammates before Premier League comeback

Raphael Varane, a defender for Manchester United, is having a far more successful second season at Old Trafford and has been a significant contributor to the team's recent success in the Premier League.

Raphael Varane has given the directive to his Manchester United teammates to keep "fighting on the pitch" as they want to extend their winning streak in the Premier League to five games in a row.

The Red Devils bounced back from their terrible start to the season by going on an incredible winning streak, capping it off with a 3-1 victory over Arsenal in their most recent match played within the domestic competition. The performances of Varane in the center of United's defense have been critical to the team's recovery, as he has established a rock-solid relationship with Lisandro Martinez, who joined the team in the summer.

In the four league games that Varane has started for Erik ten Hag's side, their opponents have only scored two goals against them. Additionally, he assisted United in keeping a clean sheet in their victory over Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League. After a difficult first season at Old Trafford following his £42 million transfer from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, the Frenchman is showing signs of getting back to his previous level of play.

Varane has no doubt that he is benefiting from participating in a comprehensive pre-season program with his teammates, which is an opportunity that he did not have the luxury of having the previous year. During a press conference in France, he stated, "I had a complete pre-season, I was able to work well on the physical level, and I continue." "I've got a better attitude, and it's rubbing off on my work."

When the 29-year-old defender made the move to United, he was considered to be one of the best center backs in the world, and Ten Hag will be pleased to see that the player is maintaining the same level of play he had during his best season. Varane is adamant about keeping up his current level of performance, and he recently encouraged the rest of his team to do the same.

"At the beginning of the season, we were required to fight on the pitch; we must continue in the same manner," he went on to say. On Sunday, the Red Devils will make their return to competitive action when they take on their regional adversaries and the reigning champions of the Premier League, Manchester City.

The ability of United's center-back pairing of Varane and Martinez to maintain their composure will be absolutely necessary if they want to leave the Etihad with at least a point. This latter player has already showered his defensive teammate with accolades, referring to him as a "legend" in the sport.

Everyone is aware of how talented he is. After the victory over Sheriff, the Argentine commented on Varane by saying, "He is a legend for me." "I'm really happy to play with him at the back, but every player on the team is ready to play," said the goalkeeper.

Every single player is performing admirably and putting in a lot of effort. That cannot be overstated in any way. It's not just Varane; it's also Harry [Maguire], Luke Shaw, Donny van de Beek, and everyone else as well. Everyone is prepared, which is a positive aspect [of where we are as a team] at this point.
