Cristiano Ronaldo won't leave Man U this summer.

During the summer transfer season, Cristiano Ronaldo's name was associated with a number of the most prominent clubs in Europe; however, one potential suitor "immediately dismissed" the idea of buying the Manchester United striker.

Another unwanted transfer message has been sent Cristiano Ronaldo's way, this time from Bayern Munich's chief executive, who has confirmed that he "quickly dismissed" the idea of signing the Manchester United megastar. Ronaldo is currently under contract with Real Madrid.

After Ronaldo informed the upper management at Old Trafford of his desire to leave, he was rumored to be interested in playing for a number of the continent's most illustrious clubs during the summer transfer window. The interest from Premier League clubs was led by Chelsea, and further afield, it was reported that Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, and even Real Madrid, the player's former club, were all considering making a move for the player.

Bundesliga champions Bayern have the financial might to fund a move for Ronaldo, but CEO Oliver Kahn has moved to rule out such an approach. Some of the aforementioned clubs also have the financial might to fund a move for Ronaldo. In a recent update, the former goalkeeper for Germany provided an explanation regarding how quickly he made the decision not to pursue Ronaldo.

According to comments made by Kahn to the German publication SPORT BILD, "We briefly discussed Ronaldo at Bayern, and Dortmund probably did as well." "We also have a broad perspective on the Bundesliga as a whole. It should come as no surprise that superstars like Ronaldo play a significant role in the process of drawing attention to the league. He is unquestionably one of the best from the past ten years. However, we quickly disregarded that idea."

The most recent comments made by Kahn come after he repeatedly put some distance between himself and Ronaldo while the transfer window for the summer was open. During an interview in July, he was questioned about the players he wanted to bring in and responded by saying, "We have been fast on the market this summer." It is a very thrilling experience. Are you enquiring about Ronaldo, by any chance? There is still time, the door is still open for some of it, and we are having conversations with a number of different players about how things might still play out.

When asked about the five-time winner of the Ballon d'Or earlier in that month, Kahn responded, "As highly as I rate Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the greatest, a transfer would not be a fit with our philosophy." Ronaldo is the only player to win the Ballon d'Or five times.

"I love Cristiano Ronaldo and everyone knows how fantastic he is, but every club has a certain philosophy, and I'm not sure if it would be the right thing for Bayern and the Bundesliga if we signed him now," he said. "I love Cristiano Ronaldo and everyone knows how fantastic he is."

Ronaldo is now in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, where he has been forced to remain due to the club's financial situation. There is the possibility of extending the agreement for one more year, but it is highly unlikely that this will be done.

The graduate of the Sporting Lisbon youth system probably had high hopes of leaving for greener pastures in the middle of the season in the form of a transfer in January. However, United is unwilling to let him leave during the winter because they do not have any immediate plans to acquire a new striker. This is one of the reasons why United is unwilling to let him leave. As a direct consequence of this, Ronaldo is now confronted with the possibility of having to serve out the remaining months of his contract in order to become a free agent in the summer of 2019.
