Chelsea vs. Man Utd kickoff time set, away allocation cut

The scheduled Premier League match between Chelsea and Manchester United will take place at Stamford Bridge on October 22. Fans of both clubs have been waiting for confirmation of the match's kick off time.

On October 22, Manchester United will travel to Chelsea, and the match will begin at 5.30 p.m. local time.

The Premier League has announced the start time of the match, but it has informed United that their allotment of away tickets has been reduced from 2,994 to only 2,370. In the beginning of the negotiations, the Metropolitan Police proposed cutting United's allocation down to 1,500, but in the end, a compromise number was decided upon.

The following letter has been sent out by United to the 2,994 fans who have already been allotted tickets for the match against Stanford Bridge. The following is included in the letter: "Dear Patrons, The Premier League announced today that our upcoming away match against Chelsea will take place at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, October 22, with a kick-off time of 5.30 p.m. The match will take place on the 22nd of October.

After the Metropolitan Police proposed a reduction in our away allocation due to concerns about policing, we have been in consultation with the Premier League and Chelsea FC in recent days."At first, the police wanted to reduce the number of resources allotted to us from 2,994 to 1,500. We have vehemently opposed any reduction and have collaborated with Chelsea to present a variety of mitigations to the local Safety Advisory Group. These are measures that, according to our assessment, could have enabled the game to continue safely with our full allocation of fans in attendance.

"Unfortunately, the police have continued to insist that there should be a decrease. On the other hand, we were able to successfully negotiate an increase in the allocation to 2,370. Despite the fact that we are extremely disheartened by this result and think it is unfair, it is abundantly clear that this choice will stand in the end. We are now urgently considering options for how to manage the removal of 624 tickets from the initial allocation that had already been agreed upon with Chelsea and sold. These tickets had been removed from the original allocation because they were no longer needed.

Chelsea will have fewer Man Utd followers than predicted

"On Monday, we will send more communications that provide further detail regarding our strategy. For the time being, we strongly recommend that you do not book any travel."The ability to forward tickets has been disabled for this event. In the event that you are unable to make it to the game, please call the number 0161 676 7770. It is important that you are aware of the fact that the contact center does not possess any more information and will not be able to discuss the matter with you because of this.

"The inevitable disappointment and frustration felt by everyone at Manchester United is caused by both the decreased allocation and the protracted delay in confirming arrangements for this game. We have made significant headway in recent years toward safeguarding away ticket allocations for our supporters, and we can assure you that we will continue to fight for this in the years to come. During the past few years, we have made these safeguarding efforts a top priority. I'd like to express my gratitude for your unwavering support."
