Man Utd and Arsenal to collect millions from World Cup FIFA player payments

The payments are being made as a part of FIFA's Club Benefits Programme, which the governing body of the sport says is intended to recognize the commitment of clubs toward the competition that will begin in Qatar the following month.

Arsenal will earn $10,000 daily from Bukayo Saka's World Cup participation.

During the World Cup, clubs from the Premier League will earn $10,000 (£9,033) per player per day. Teams like Arsenal and Manchester United stand to make several millions of dollars if their players do well in Qatar.

The payments are being made as a part of a program known as FIFA's Club Benefits Programme. This program is intended to recognize the contribution that clubs have made toward the tournament. More than 400 clubs in 63 different countries benefited from the program at the last World Cup, which received a total of $209 million (£188.8 million) in funding from the FIFA Foundation.

FIFA has stated that compensation will be paid to all clubs for which a player has played in the two years prior to the World Cup. This means that Arsenal and Manchester City will benefit from Gabriel Jesus' participation for Brazil if he is selected for the squad. Gabriel Jesus has played for both of these clubs in the two years prior to the World Cup. The total prize pool for the World Cup is worth approximately $700 million (£632.3 million), and the national federation of the team that ends up victorious will receive $50 million (£45 million).

After receiving a total of $2 million to cover the costs of pre-tournament camps and other preparations, FIFA will award each of the 32 participating nations a total of $10 million for their participation in the group stage.

In 2012, the players that represented English clubs at the World Cup in Russia brought in a total of $37,406,940 for the 38 teams in England, with Manchester City taking home $5,003,440 and United, its neighboring club, earning $3,656,360.

In 2018, Arsenal earned $2,218,720, Chelsea made $3,835,357.50, Liverpool received $2,585,205, and Tottenham Hotspur collected $4,385,792.50 in total revenue.

Gareth Southgate is preparing England for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar

Players will have independently negotiated their own bonus systems with the federations that they belong to. Gareth Southgate's England squad would have shared an additional £5 million among themselves if they had been victorious at the 2018 World Cup.

The match against Iran marks the beginning of the campaign for the Three Lions, who will also compete against Wales and the United States as part of Group B.

Following the news from the previous week that Kyle Walker underwent groin surgery and that his City teammate Kalvin Phillips is still sidelined due to a shoulder injury, Southgate already has a number of injury concerns. On November 10, England will announce who will make up their 26-man squad.
