Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag announces two "long-term" injuries.

Manchester United have been given two long-term injury blows ahead of their action-packed schedule ahead of the World Cup. Erik ten Hag is eager for his side to continue their recent upturn in form despite these setbacks.

According to Erik ten Hag, both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Donny van de Beek have sustained injuries that are considered to be "longer-term." As a result, neither player will be available to play for Manchester United in the near future.

During his pre-Omonia Nicosia press conference on Wednesday afternoon, the head coach of the Red Devils revealed that Wan-Bissaka and Van de Beek will not be participating in any games in the near future. This is a significant setback, particularly for the latter, whose World Cup hopes may now be close to nonexistent given that the opening game for the Netherlands is scheduled to take place against Senegal on November 21, just under six weeks from now.

Anthony Martial will not be available for Manchester United's home game against the Cypriot side as they look to make it three wins out of four in their Europa League group. Ten Hag made this admission during the same press conference. In a similar vein, Harry Maguire will not play for the Red Devils after sitting out the previous three matches with a'minor' problem that required him to miss those matches.

Ten Hag said: "No, [Martial arts training] won't happen today; instead, we'll wait to see what Sunday brings. Harry has to leave. And longer-term Donny van de Beek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka."

Since Ten Hag took over as head coach at the end of the previous campaign, Wan-Bissaka has had a difficult time earning playing time this season. In fact, the former Crystal Palace player has only played four minutes of first-team football so far this year. Ten Hag has now confirmed that he has sustained a long-term issue, despite the fact that he has not been included in the matchday squads for the last six games.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has struggled to play this season.

The Dutchman was asked about Wan-injury Bissaka's before his team's trip to Omonia the previous week, but he did not provide a prognosis for it at that time. However, he has now disclosed that Wan-Bissaka will not be available in the near future. Wan-Bissaka was included in the United team photo that was taken on Monday afternoon, but it is not clear what kind of injury he is suffering from at this time.

Additionally, Van de Beek has not participated in a game for the Red Devils since their victory over Liverpool in August and has not been called to the substitutes' bench for the Red Devils since their victory at Leicester City on September 1. It had been reported that Van de Beek was suffering from a knock, but this appears to be more serious than what was initially anticipated.

The most recent setback for Martial is a significant blow not only for the player, but also for United as a whole. The Frenchman has been instrumental off the bench for the Red Devils in recent weeks, scoring twice at Manchester City and then grabbing a goal and an assist against Omonia last Thursday. In recent weeks, the Red Devils have won all three of their games.

Man Utd will play Omonia Nicosia without Anthony Martial.

It was his first start of the season for Manchester United, and it came on the road against Everton on Sunday. However, he only lasted 29 minutes before having to come off owing to a hip injury that had flared up again. At Goodison Park, this opened the door for Cristiano Ronaldo to enter the game and score the goal that gave Manchester United a 2-1 victory over Everton. Ronaldo's goal was the 700th of his club career.

Ten Hag is looking forward to the challenge of making sure his team is ready for each of the ten tasks that will be presented to them over the next month as United prepares to play 10 matches. They have three more matches scheduled in the Europa League, six more matches scheduled in the Premier League, and one match scheduled in the Carabao Cup before the World Cup begins in November.

He went on to Explain: "In my opinion, all of the clubs and teams that compete in Europe are dealing with the same issue. We have a roster to cover for it, and while injuries and bans are inevitable, you still have to figure out how to cope with them as a team."
