The preliminary news on the lineup for Man United's match against Real Sociedad in the Europa League, as well as the training squad that has been verified.
Anthony Martial participated in training with the first-team squad of Manchester United in advance of their match on Thursday against Real Sociedad. However, Antony was not seen participating in open training at Carrington after being left out of the squad for the game against West Ham on Sunday.
Martial has not been able to play since he suffered a back injury during the first half of the match against Everton at Goodison Park a month ago and had to be taken off the field.
The player has suffered injuries to his hamstring and Achilles this season, but he has now returned to full first-team training and is in contention to play in United's final Europa League group match against Real Sociedad. That setback was the latest injury blow for the player, following earlier injuries to his Achilles and hamstring.
After Antony was left out of the squad for the game against West Ham, he did not take part in the practice that took place at Carrington. "He is in a hurtful state. I really hope it's not too bad, and based on what I've heard, I don't think it is. Within the next few days, he will make his way back, "Ten Hag said the following about Antony on Sunday. Another player who did not show up for the training session was Jadon Sancho.
In addition to Harry Maguire, Donny van de Beek, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof trained after being sick prior to last week's match against FC Sheriff. Maguire, van de Beek, and Wan-Bissaka all returned to training the previous week after spending time on injured reserve.
The young people who participated in the session were Shola Shoretire, Facundo Pellistri, Alejandro Garnacho, and Zidane Iqbal.
United's training squad in advance of their match against Real Sociedad:
Goalkeepers: Bishop, Dubravka, Vitek, De Gea.
Dalot, Wan-Bissaka, Martinez, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, and Malacia make up the defensive unit.
Midfielders: McTominay, Fernandes, Fred, Iqbal, Casemiro, Eriksen, Van de Beek, Shoretire.
Elanga, Rashford, Ronaldo, Martial, Garnacho, and Pellistri are the attacking players for this team.
If United finish in second place in their Europa League group, they will have to play a club that finished third in the group stage of the Champions League in a play-off in order to advance to the round of 16. Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus are all potential opponents for that stage of the competition.
In order for United to guarantee themselves the top spot in the group, they need to win against Real Sociedad in Spain by a margin of at least two goals.
