After Chelsea masterclass, Manchester United must decide on Shola Shoretire.

Shola Shoretire, a young forward for Manchester United's Under-21 team, has been in outstanding form thus far this season.

The beginning of the season for Manchester United U21's has not been anything close to what was hoped for by any stretch of the imagination. The young team is now sitting in third-to-last place in the Premier League 2 table, and they do not have a single victory to their name after nine efforts. They currently have six points, although they have three losses, and only Tottenham and West Ham are below them in the standings.

Considering they have some extremely talented talents in their ranks, it is definitely shocking that they are performing so poorly. Although one might make the case that the U21 squad is frequently without at least one or two of its "better" players because of the commitments of those players to the first team, the performances, and more significantly, the outcomes, have been extremely disheartening.

In spite of the fact that the Reds were able to identify specific areas in which they need to improve as a result of their 3-3 draw with Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, the game also provided one player with an additional opportunity to demonstrate his quality in a contest that was lacking in quality for the majority of the game's duration.

Shola Shoretire was the savior for the U21 team as the attacker grabbed a quick-fire brace deep into stoppage time to somehow salvage a point for United. Shola Shoretire was the savior for the U21 team. Five minutes into extra time, the 18-year-old cut the deficit to 3-2, and then he scored again just 30 seconds later to startle Chelsea. The performance stunned Chelsea.

As a result of his brace against the London club, the attacker now has three goals in six matches played so far this season. Additionally, the attacker recorded an assist in the match against Brighton last weekend, which resulted in a draw. The performance that Shoretire turned in against Chelsea has once again gotten United fans talking, and the question being asked by supporters is much the same as before: what now?

The Englishman, who at the age of 14 became the youngest player in the history of the UEFA Youth League when he came off the bench against Valencia in 2018, has signed professional terms with the Reds. However, in contrast to some of his U21 teammates, the Englishman has not yet played for the first team under Erik ten Hag.

He made his debut in Premier League 2 for the Under-23s when he was just 16 years old, so he is certainly not a rookie when it comes to playing in important games as a young player. Even though he has played for the senior team in the past, it appears that he still has more work to do before earning his opportunity under the manager who is currently in charge, despite the fact that he does look to be coming closer.

Shoretire's ability is undeniable, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was the manager of Manchester United when Shoretire made his debut for the club in a European match against Real Sociedad in 2017, remarked that the forward had "all the tools" to be successful at Old Trafford and encouraged him to keep improving. Shoretire became the youngest player ever to play for the Reds in a European match during that match.

"Shola, he's got some skills and attributes that we think is going to make a very good player here and it's a platform, of course tonight, just 15 minutes, it's something to build on, something for him to remember at Old Trafford," said the Norwegian. "Shola, he's got some skills and attributes that we think is going to make a very good player here and it's a platform, of course tonight, just 15 minutes, it's something

"But then again, with the fans, he would have enjoyed it more because they give you so much more energy than football at the moment, but I'm sure all the fans will see him later on." "But then again, with the fans, he would have enjoyed it more because they give you so much more energy than football at the moment."

Even when he was only 17 years old, it was obvious that Shoretire had a possibility of receiving playing time under Solskjaer. The Norwegian coach was fired, and Ralf Rangnick took over as head coach for the balance of the season, which resulted in a decrease in his opportunities, which is somewhat understandable.

Shoretire has been observed practicing with the first squad on a number of occasions so far this season, and he has also been productive for the club's youth team while it competes in a tough level. Even though he is still young and has unquestionably aspects of his game that need to be improved, there is a growing consensus that he would profit from a senior loan once the January transfer window opens.

While playing for Manchester United, Shola Shoretire was seen in action.

The young player is represented by the same agency as the world-famous striker Cristiano Ronaldo, so it would not come as a surprise to anyone if the infamous Jorge Mendes is already lining up a loan switch for the 18-year-old in the new year - and there are bound to be a number of clubs that are interested in making the move.

It would make perfect sense, if it were even remotely possible, for the frontman to sign with a club in England so that the club's scouts and youth coaches could keep an eye on his development and work with him to get ready for games in the Premier League played by Manchester United.

If the club decides that they would like him to stay with the U21s for the remainder of the season, it certainly won't hurt his progression, but it might take him more time to fully adapt to the senior game when he does get his chance. If the club decides that they would prefer him to stay with the U21s for the remainder of the season, it certainly won't harm his progress. The youngster, who has played for the first team a total of five times, has already demonstrated that he can be depended upon when it is necessary; the next stage for him is to demonstrate this ability on a constant basis when competing against seasoned pros.

In the last few days of the summer transfer window, there were intentions to move him out on loan, but Ten Hag indicated that he intended to keep the forward around for the time being. Taking all of this into consideration, it is abundantly evident that the Dutchman has goals in mind for the 18-year-old, and at this point, it is simply a matter of putting those goals into action.

In that case, applying for a new loan in January can turn out to be a good decision. There is little question that he would have no trouble finding suitors.
