Ronaldo meets Erik ten Hag at Manchester United training complex.

On Wednesday night, before the match between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur had even ended, Cristiano Ronaldo stormed down the tunnel at Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at around 10:30 a.m., keeping a low profile behind the sun visor and driving directly by the crowd of fans who had been waiting.

Just a few hours after leaving Old Trafford after his team's victory over Tottenham in the Premier League, Cristiano Ronaldo was back at Manchester United's training field on Thursday morning for discussions with Erik ten Hag. They took place shortly after Ronaldo had left Old Trafford.

On Wednesday night, United turned in an outstanding performance, which resulted in a 2-0 victory; however, the stunning triumph was slightly overshadowed by Ronaldo's theatrics in the closing stages of the contest. Ronaldo's antics caused United to lose some of their focus on the match.

The Portuguese forward started walking toward the tunnel in the 90th minute, with United leading 2-0 and two more substitutions still available, despite the fact that there were still another five minutes of added time to play in the game. This occurred after Anthony Elanga and Christian Eriksen had been introduced in the 87th minute.

In his comments following the victory, Ten Hag stated that he would discuss the Ronaldo situation on Thursday: "To be honest, I don't really pay attention to things like that. The next day, we would discuss that further "he remarked. "Our attention is going to be focused on this team. Every single one of the eleven players gave a terrific performance.

"I must note, I mentioned 11 players, I must correct myself: it was a performance also from the substitutes who came on who had a good part, and once again, it was a squad performance. It was a performance from the substitutes who came in who had a nice role.

"And to answer your question, we will be addressing it tomorrow. What we have seen so far today is that there are 11 players who defend, 11 players who attack, and there is a lot of dynamic in the assault as well. I am glad to hear that, but I can't say that I am completely content with it. Simply being good isn't enough; excellence needs to be the expectation here."

On Thursday around 10:30 a.m., pictures were taken of Ronaldo arriving back at Carrington. He did not stop to acknowledge the fans who had gathered outside the training field in the hopes of meeting him. In addition, upon his arrival, Ronaldo pulled down the visor on his cap, presumably in an effort to hide his face in any photographs that were taken.

It is the second time the Portugal international has left a match early while playing for United under Ten Hag. His first departure came at halftime during a preseason friendly against Rayo Vallecano in July. The manager of Manchester United used the word "unacceptable" to describe Ronaldo's early departure at the time.
