Chelsea have confirmed that Paul Winstanley has joined the club as Director of Global Talent and Transfers.
The Blues disclosed this in a statement via its website on Tuesday.
Winstanley joined Chelsea after eight years with Premier League club Brighton.
The statement reads in part: “Chelsea is pleased to announce that Paul Winstanley has been appointed to the role of Director of Global Talent and Transfers.
Chelsea FC would like to thank Brighton for enabling him to take up this new opportunity with Chelsea.”
Reacting to his new appointment, Winstanley told Chelsea’s official website that he was thrilled to be joining the west London club.
He said: “I am looking forward to working with such an outstanding group of colleagues as the club moves into a new era.”
Winstanley worked with Chelsea manager Graham Potter during their time together at Brighton.
