Essays ranging from 750 to 1000 words will need to be submitted by applicants on the following topics:

"In 1965, when the first students registered at the brand-new University of Kent in Canterbury (which was the name of the university at the time), there were no student organizations, no sports clubs, and no student representatives. In 2018, there were almost 400 student representatives, 67 sports clubs, and 189 organizations available to the school's total enrollment of 20,000 students. The first students to attend Kent were given the chance, as well as the obligation, to initiate all of these from the ground up. What would you study and why if we were to create a new institution in 2022 and you were one of the first students to enroll?"

The essay should be saved by the applicant as a Microsoft Word document. Include the following information at the very top of the document: the title of the essay, your complete name, and the identification number assigned to you by the University of Kent.
