The Mo Ibrahim Foundation is the source of funding for the scholarship, and its primary objective is to provide financial assistance to African students pursuing doctoral degrees so that they can participate in research projects that investigate public sector governance capabilities, political settlements, state-business relations, the governance of state-owned enterprises, the governance of development policy design and implementation, and other related topics.
The Criteria for Eligibility
The following requirements need to be met by candidates in order for them to be considered for the Scholarship:
Must initially be granted an unconditional offer to pursue a doctoral degree in one of the relevant departments at SOAS University of London.
Must possess both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in the relevant field, obtained from an accredited university or college.
Show that you have strong educational and leadership qualities.
