The purpose of the Ontario Trillium Scholarship, which is being offered by Western University in Ontario, Canada, is to entice students from other countries who are exceptionally competent to study in Canada on a program that is being fully supported. Those who are interested in applying for the Ontario Trillium Scholarship are required to have earned a grade point average of at least 80 percent in each of the two most recent years of full-time university study, or the academic equivalent of two years of full-time university study. This is in addition to the eligibility requirements that are listed further down;

For Consideration by the Chair of the Graduate Committee:
- The applicant must be an international student at the time of application and when taking up the award
- The applicant must intend to be present on campus to undertake full-time PhD studies in any discipline at Western at the start of either Summer Term or Fall Term immediately following the annual call for nominations
- The applicant must not be currently registered in a university degree program at an Ontario university at the time of nomination
- The applicant must have exceptional research experience and potential, combined with an outstanding university academic record
Have received a valid temporary resident visa as a member of the student class under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) by the start date of the PhD program and meet additional eligibility conditions for renewals. This requirement must be satisfied in order to be eligible for the prize.
Scholarship Reward and Its Time Commitment

Procedures for Making Applications
Instructions for Applying: Students who are interested in receiving an Ontario Trillium Scholarship must submit an application for a postgraduate program at Western University in Canada and indicate their want to be considered for the scholarship. The application procedures are revised on an annual basis.
