The company has just announced the Type Folio, an exclusive keyboard for the reMarkable 2. This is the first time the tablet series has supported a keyboard, and it was designed specifically for this device. The Type Folio is slender and durable, while still providing full-size letter keys, number keys, and function keys.
This keyboard is also designed to autonomously connect to the reMarkable 2 tablet via magnets, without the need for additional pairing, charging, updating, or port-mashing.
The tablet's user interface is being updated to support the keyboard, with rudimentary formatting options to facilitate the transition between handwriting and typing.

Type Folio is available in two imitation leather colors, Sepia Brown and Ink Black. This aesthetically pleasing keyboard comes with a hefty price tag of $200. The reMarkable 2 is $300, so this is nearly the cost of the tablet itself. Including the $80 standalone stylus, the total cost to fully adopt this ecosystem approaches $600.
