Tuesday, Guinness World Records announced that Hilda Baci holds the distinction for the longest cooking by an individual.

Following a thorough review of the evidence, Guinness World Records can confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, has broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual) with a time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.

The 26-year-old Nigerian chef began her four-day kitchen stint on Thursday, 11 May, and proceeded through Monday, 15 May, preparing over 100 meals.

Hilda attempted to establish a record of 100 hours, but nearly seven hours were subtracted from her final total because she took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early in the attempt.
