Peter Obi submits additional evidence documents to the presidential election court.

Peter Obi's submissions to the presidential election court consist primarily of results sheets and INEC reports on the conduct of the presidential election.

Tuesday, Peter Obi and his Labour Party (LP) submitted additional evidence to the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja.

Mr. Obi and his Labour Party (LP) are petitioners in the CA/PEPC/03/2023 petition contesting the election that placed President Bola Tinubu in office.

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), President Bola Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) are respondents to the petition.

The majority of the documents are result sheets and INEC reports regarding the presidential election.

Mr. Obi, through Peter Afoba, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), submitted forms EC40GPU, EC40G1, and election-related reports prepared by the electoral body.

In ten Local Government Areas of Niger State, a total of 45 EC40GPU forms were bid on, compared to 23 in seven Local Government Areas of Osun State.

Also tendered were 52 EC40GPU forms in five Local Government Areas of Sokoto and 17 forms in three Local Government Areas of Edo State.

In addition, the petitioners submitted 15 EC40G forms in eight Local Government Areas of Osun State and 12 EC40G1 forms in twelve Local Government Areas of Edo State.

They submitted 15 EC40G forms in four Local Government Areas of Sokoto and nine EC40G1 forms in two LGAs of Sokoto State.

In support of their allegations of election misconduct, the petitioners also submitted five reports on the conduct of the election in Niger and eight reports on the conduct of the election in Edo.

INEC Results Viewing (IRev) reports were also submitted for 21 Local Government Areas in the state of Adamawa, 20 in the state of Ogun, 16 in the state of Ekiti, 19 in the state of Rivers, and 25 in the state of Akwa Ibom.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that forms EC40G and EC40GPU list the total number of electors in locations where voting did not occur or was cancelled, respectively.

All of the documents were admitted as evidence and marked as exhibits. However, every attorney objected to the admissibility of all the submitted documents. The five-member tribunal led by Haruna Tsammani has postponed further consideration of the petition until Wednesday.
