“My Husband’s Decision to Venture into Politics Made me Afraid” – Adesua Etomi-Wellington

Adesua admitted that she was immediately concerned and frightened by his declaration.

Adesua Etomi, a popular Nigerian actress, has revealed that she was terrified when her spouse, Bankole Wellington, also known as Banky W, told her he wanted to enter politics.

Adesua acknowledged that she was instantaneously alarmed and terrified upon hearing his declaration.

She stated in a recent interview with Hip TV that she ultimately decided to support him because "purpose is more important than fear."

Recall that on November 11, 2018, Banky announced his intention to compete for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat on the platform of the Modern Democratic Party.

He ran for the same constituency in the 2023 elections on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, but lost to Attah Thaddeus of the Labour Party (LP). He lost to Babajide Obanikoro of the All Progressives Congress.

She said;

“When Banky said that he wanted to go into politics, I was a little bit worried and disturbed about it.

But I also believe that purpose is more important than fear. And I want to see him fulfil purpose. So, he has my support 100 percent.”
