Aiyedatiwa announced this on Tuesday in Akure in response to media reports he labeled "faceless writers to fan the flame of unity in the state."

As usual, the acting governor implored the general public to disregard the unfortunate falsehoods and subterfuge as the actions of desperate political gladiators from opposing political parties.

"You are aware of the governor's message to the people of Ondo State in which he expressed gratitude for their support and loyalty," the sentence continues.The governor appreciates all of your petitions and well wishes for him and the state. As soon as his Doctors certify that he is medically healthy, he is anticipated to return to office to continue his commendable service to the State.
"I am in contact with him, most recently on Sunday when he thanked me and other State Executive Council members for holding down the fort in his absence.

"I would like to join the governor in expressing our profound gratitude to you all for your unceasing display of love and solidarity. "We should maintain this attitude of prayer and solidarity for the benefit of ourselves, the governor, and the State as a whole," read portions of the statement.
Aiyedatiwa implored the public to disregard the unfortunate falsehoods and theatrics of desperate political gladiators across political divides, assuring that it would not be allowed to derail the current administration of Akeredolu's focus and developmental policies.
The acting governor stated that the tactics of the anonymous authors and agents of provocateurs were designed to stoke the flames of discord, denigrate the well-earned reputations of individuals in government circles, and divert government attention for their own petty political gain.

"We seek more cooperation and support from the good people of the State, as well as more restraint and circumspection from groups and individuals whose actions and unwarranted vituperations in social circles and the media have the potential to tarnish the image of the State.

"We therefore assure the citizens of the state of Ondo that there are no governance gaps. The government of Ondo State is on track, construction projects are underway throughout the state, and other official activities are also proceeding according to best practices.

As the primary constitutional mandate of government, the security and welfare of the people are accorded the utmost importance. This crucial obligation to the people will never be breached by the state government. The deputy governor urged everyone to remain law-abiding, tranquil, and to pursue legitimate enterprises and activities without interference.
Recall that the Ondo state House of Assembly confirmed Gov. Akeredolu's letter informing it of the extension of his medical leave on Monday.
