Mbah Ezinne, a senior at Enugu State University of Science and Technology, was discovered deceased in her room.

The deceased body of the Anatomy student was discovered in her home on July 31, 2023, after her absence from church was observed.

On Friday, July 28, Ezinne, who was very active in her church, attended a praise night with her companions. The group returned home around 4 a.m. on Saturday and expected to reassemble in church on July 30 for Youth Day festivities.

According to reports, Ezinne did not attend church, causing concern among her acquaintances. They repeatedly attempted to contact her via her mobile phone, but she was unreachable.

One Chisom Onyedikachi told Sahara Reporters that her brother Stephen and several of her acquaintances visited her Enugu apartment after her disappearance.

Monday afternoon, when they arrived at the location, they peered through her window and saw Ezinne and a male companion, believed to be her classmate, lying on the floor.

Her sibling attempted to break into the apartment, but the police advised him to contact them first. When the police arrived, they rushed the victims to the hospital, where Ezinne was tragically pronounced deceased and her friend was resuscitated.

According to information acquired, the male friend is still fighting for his life in a hospital. Friends and family of the deceased hope he will recover and reveal what transpired.
