Manchester United supporters have reacted positively to the club's new leaked kit for the 2022/23 season, which has some extremely nostalgic elements.

Several images of the top have been floating on social media over the past few weeks, but the reputable shirt site Footy Headlines has finally confirmed that the top is genuine.

Because of their rapid relegation since Sir Alex Ferguson departed in 2013, Manchester United are hopeful that next season will signal the beginning of their slow comeback to prominence. Their soon-to-be home shirt is undoubtedly deserving of being among the very best in world football.

When compared to this season's shirt, the shirt is a somewhat darker shade of red, and the Adidas stripes are black rather than white.

The reintroduction of the collar is a big difference between the two, and the new top features a throwback collar inspired by their 1994 season, which is made up of triangles in dark red and black colors.

Although the design isn't particularly sophisticated, the badge is displayed on a red shield rather than on the shirt itself. This appears to be done just to highlight the badge.

The leaked shirt was well received by United supporters, one of whom said: "It's going to fly off the shelves." "It's an instant classic."

"The collar is definitely a lovely addition," another person commented.
"Adidas has really worked their socks off on this one, blending the classic collar and shadow pinstripes with a touch of beautiful geometry on the collar and the logo for a fresh take on the classic look." Another supporter added: " They've really stepped up their game in recent years with United outfits."

Manchester United are expected to choose a new manager this summer, with Ralf Rangnick to be replaced in the Old Trafford dugout with new ideas and new transfer targets in store.
