Following Atletico Madrid's 1-0 win over Manchester United, captain Koke praised goalie Jan Oblak for his performance.
On Tuesday night, Atletico Madrid advanced to the quarter-finals of the Champions League courtesy to a goal from Renan Lodi (shown). A goal on the stroke of half-time gave the La Liga champions a 1-0 lead at Old Trafford, which they held on to with tenacity.

Diego Simeone's team had more possession, but the Spaniards couldn't turn it into chances. Despite numerous substitutions in the second half, United grew increasingly agitated as the game went and could not produce an equalizer.

Atletico Madrid's Koke argued that the team deserved to win the match. Although it may come as a surprise, goalie Oblak was named as the most valuable player.

We deserved to win the first leg, but we worked extremely hard in this second leg to get what we deserved from the tie," Koke added. In order to advance further in the tournament, it's remarkable that we're still involved. With our season being as up and down as it has been thus far, it's critical that we remain in the Champions League race.

"Jan Oblak is, in my opinion, the best goalkeeper in the world at the moment. He's demonstrated it once more tonight."
