Ajax, under the leadership of the Dutchman, went undefeated in the Champions League group stages before being eliminated by Benfica in the knockout stages. They are also in first place in the Eredivisie with a goal differential of 67 and have only lost three games all season.

Ten Hag is in his prime at the age of 52, and he possesses all of the characteristics necessary to become the manager of Manchester United. With the Ajax mentality of developing young players, he has completely reconstructed the team after they were dismantled following their run to a second consecutive Champions League quarterfinal appearance in the 2019/20 season.
