Leeds want to sign Manchester United midfielder who has 36 appearances this season.

Following the departure of several first-team players, it appears like Leeds United will go through a summer of transition.

Leeds United winger Raphinha is one player that appears certain to leave the club at the end of the current campaign.

This outstanding Brazilian is desired by Xavi's Barcelona, who will apparently wait to see whether Leeds United will be playing in the Premier League next season before making an offer.

There is mounting suspicion, though, that the Whites could make some decent acquisitions of their own while fans prepare to watch one of their most beloved talents walk on.

A recent article from The Athletic claims that Jesse Marsch is a fan of James Garner, the Manchester United defensive midfielder who plays for the club's reserve team.

It was decided to allow 21-year-old Garner to go out on loan to continue his development after only seven appearances for Manchester United's senior first team.

This young Nottingham Forest midfielder has had an excellent season so far, and after appearing in 36 games across all competitions, he has already proven that he is better than most players in England's second division.

Manchester United midfielder Luke Shaw's contract with the club does not expire until 2024, despite his probable departure from Forest at the end of this season.

With Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, and Jesse Lingard's futures in doubt, as well as the rivalry between the two clubs, the Red Devils are unlikely to part ways with the highly rated defensive midfielder.

For the most part, United only accept transfers like Dan James' last summer because the club believes the player isn't talented enough for the first team. However, United may not feel this way about Garner.
