Erik ten Hag's likely appointment as Man United manager has left several players "underwhelmed."

Eric ten Hag's appointment as Manchester United's new manager has reportedly disappointed some of the club's current players.

Stretty News reports that the Dutch coach is set to resume talks over the Man Utd position, but it is unclear how positively his presence will be received.

At least some United first-team players appear to be unimpressed with Ten Hag as their new manager, according to reports in the Manchester Evening News.

This is by no means a reflection of how the entire team is feeling, but it might be a cause for concern if a key group begins to emerge that does not support what Ten Hag is attempting to accomplish, as it is bound to be a difficult enough task as it is.

Erik ten Hag to Man United?

Any new manager at Manchester United will have the same challenges as the last few who've come in since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement, and Ten Hag is no exception to that.

Some of the biggest names and most experienced managers have struggled in this climate as well, including Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal. Popular club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also failed to capitalize on his promising start.
