Paul Pogba has accepted a transfer offer from Paris Saint-Germain as he prepares to depart from Manchester United.
In a last-ditch effort to persuade the midfielder to stay, United offered Pogba a final package that was said to be significantly less generous.
Pogba, 29, is open to moving to Paris Saint-Germain, but it is thought that he would rather return to Juventus and play for them again. Since the departure of former coach Zinedine Zidane from Real Madrid last year, the club's interest has waned dramatically.
During the summer, PSG signed Georginio Wijnaldum, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, and Lionel Messi, all of whom were free agents. Juventus, on the other hand, are well-known for signing 'free' transfers, with Paul Pogba being one of their first high-profile signings when he ran down his first contract at Manchester United in 2012.
Pogba stated last week that he had not made a decision on his future with Manchester United. In an interview with Telefoot, Paul Pogba stated that "nothing has been decided about my future, and nothing has been done." In the same way that I have the ability to make a decision tomorrow, I can make a decision during transfer window." I'd like to come back and finish the season strong.
"As of now, the season is almost over because we don't have any more titles to win. I want to win titles, I want to play for a reason, and we haven't won a championship this year or in the previous several years. It's a tragic situation."
In addition to earning £290,000 a week at United, Pogba's destination will be determined by the lifestyle he chooses for himself and his family. His eldest son, Labile Shakur, will begin school next year, and Pogba's wife, Zulay, is employed in the design industry in Cheshire.
As he enters the final two months of his contract, United's dressing room insiders claim that Pogba is practically "gone." The club has been preparing for his inevitable exit for the most of the season, according to the sources. United are planning to add at least one midfielder during the summer transfer window.
When Pogba attempted to arrange a move away from Manchester United in the summer of 2019, United were not offered a satisfactory price for the France international. In recent years, Pogba's closest teammates believed that allowing him to depart would be in the best interests of both the player and the club. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has virtually put a stop to any potential transfer in the last two summers.
Despite the fact that Pogba has stated publicly that he wishes to quit United, his teammates have praised his professionalism, and the Frenchman remains a popular figure at the club's Carrington training center.
PSG star Paul Pogba and his family have enjoyed their time as residents of England; nevertheless, their Cheshire house was robbed while the couple's two sons were sleeping in their respective rooms on the night of United's Champions League loss to Atletico Madrid last month.
