This morning, Manchester United felt the need to beef up security at Carrington as a number of supporters demonstrated peacefully on the training field grounds.

Two dozen anti-Glazer protestors showed up at Carrington on Friday, according to the Manchester Evening News, ahead of planned demonstrations before Manchester United's league match with Norwich City this weekend.

One group of fans was holding a banner that read 'Glazers Out,' while another held a sign that read 'Disgrace not fit to wear the shirt 1958.

MEN writer Samuel Luckhurst took the photo below, which shows police officers in attendance at the event.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News (MEN), a modest and calm protest took place outside the Carrington training field on Wednesday. Fan opinions are valued, and we intend to continue working hard to improve our relationship with them."

Another ruse to deceive the public with false promises has been made.

From the moment they acquired ownership of Manchester United, the Glazers have utilized the club as a commercial cash cow to generate revenue. To believe the current announcement regarding Old Trafford's probable redevelopment or even the arrival of a new manager, they must believe that we are extremely naïve people.

After protesters gathered outside the training site this afternoon, Ralf Rangnick addressed the media during his pre-match press conference.

After being questioned about the demonstrations planned before kick-off, with The 1958 encouraging fans to stay away from the game until 3.17pm (a minute for each year the Glazers have been in charge), Rangnick stated (as reported by the Manchester Evening News):

"We are all aware that football is a game of passions and feelings, and we can all relate to that fact. I understand why our supporters are dissatisfied with our current position in the table as well as our performance against Everton on Saturday. As long as they protest peacefully and continue to cheer for the team in the stadium, we will continue to believe that our supporters are among of the best, if not the best, in England. Each individual has the right to express his or her viewpoint. In terms of emotion, I can see why they are disappointed."
