Although England captain Harry Kane has yet to make a long-term commitment to Tottenham, Manchester United are keeping an eye on things. According to The Mirror, Kane was not pleased to hear that Erik ten Hag had beaten Mauricio Pochettino to the Old Trafford management post.
The fact that Kane is enjoying himself again under Antonio Conte is a positive development; nonetheless, Champions League football is critical in their efforts to keep him at the club after fending off interest from Manchester City just a year earlier.
However, if Tottenham finish fourth, United would miss out on the top four, and Morrison believes Conte's team has finally found its form.
According to Morrison, who spoke to Sky Sports, "If Tottenham does finish in the top four, they have a better chance of keeping Harry Kane for next season."
Tottenham Hotspur are currently in action against Brighton in the first game of the day on Saturday. United's chances of finishing in the top four would be further hampered if they were to defeat the Londoners.
The possibility of Kane rejecting Manchester United...
There's no reason to believe it would be the end of the world.
Darwin Nunez, who has been fantastic for Benfica this season, may therefore be targeted by Manchester United as a younger alternative.
Despite the fact that Kane is back to his best, the cost of acquiring him will be significant, especially considering his previous ankle injury history.
