Jesse Lingard starts for Man Utd over Norwich while Alejandro Garnacho sits.

Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that Manchester United will play Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday.

For Manchester United's match against Norwich, Jesse Lingard starts while Alejandro Garnacho is on the substitutes' bench. United will face Norwich City at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon in their first Premier League match of the season since December.

Having suffered a humbling setback at the hands of Everton a week ago, Ralf R angnick will be expecting for an early response from his side, with three points essential to keep their faint hopes of finishing in the top four alive.

Four players have been brought in to replace those that started against Everton at Goodison Park. Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba, Diogo Dalot, and Anthony Elanga have all been brought in.

During his pre-match press conference, Rangnick revealed his team selection and why Lingard has been included in the starting lineup: "We are without a few of our midfield players, and in the previous three games we have struggled to score goals and create huge chances," the interim manager told MUTV.
"It was for this reason that I selected Bruno, Jesse, and Paul in the midfield. When it comes to scoring goals, we've got enough creativity on the field. Additionally, having the appropriate defensive balance is essential."

Argentine winger Garnacho has been given his first senior squad call-up following an exceptional run of play at the club's youth level, and Rangnick believes it might be the beginning of a very bright future for him at the club.

And he went on to say, "In the previous two weeks, he has been practicing with us and has emerged as one of the most promising young players in the league. The fact that he is only 17 does not exclude him from playing for this club in the future if he maintains his composure on the field."
