Manchester United has confirmed that the club's top scouts have departed.

After the departure of two of the club's top scouts, more changes are taking place at Manchester United.

A report from The Athletic claims that Marcel Bout and Jim Lawlor have left the club.

He joined United in 2005 and was promoted to chief scout in 2014, Lawlor's first year on the job. For the last 16 years, he has been in charge of United's scouting, and during that time, the team has had a dismal record when it comes to recruiting.

As a result, I doubt he'll be missed. New chapters under Erik ten Hag are also on the horizon.

On the other hand, there's Bout, who started out as a coach for Louis van Gaal before becoming a player himself.

Many were perplexed by the decision to keep Bout on as a scout because he worked for the club while Van Gaal made 13 signings, all of which were criticized.

Sergio Romero was probably the most successful signing under the Dutchman's tutelage. That tells us a lot...

However, United are losing two big voices in their recruitment team, which has been heavily criticized in recent years.

An official statement from Manchester United read: "Jim Lawlor has decided to step down from his role as chief scout in the summer after 16 years with the club.".

Sir Alex Ferguson and each of his successors have benefited greatly from Jim's advice and counsel during that time period.

"Jim leaves the club with our sincere gratitude for his significant contributions and our best wishes for the future.

Marcel Bout has left his position as head of global scouting at the club after eight years. ' As an assistant coach and scout, Marcel has played a significant role in the development of Manchester United's resources in recent years.

It is with deep gratitude and good wishes that we say farewell to Marcel who has made an enormous contribution to the club during his time here."

It is widely accepted that John Murtough is in charge of football matters at Old Trafford, with Richard Arnold focusing on the commercial side and establishing a bridge between the football community and the Glazer family..

As a United fan, I don't believe that our club's current owners are capable of solving its most pressing issues.

We should not forget that the stadium is in disrepair.
