There's no way to say that the time Ralf Rangnick has spent as interim manager of Manchester United isn't a let down.

With just three games left in his managerial title, the German will want to go out on a high and end what has been a bad time in charge with a sense of positivity. As a surprise choice for Manchester United after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left in November, Philipp Rangnick was chosen by the club. He had only been in charge for two of the last 10 years, and his time in charge has shown why.

Rangnick was hired as a short-term replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He was expected to change United's style of play, put fire back in the players' bellies, and improve United's results, but it didn't work out. His team started off well when they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 in his first game in charge. They soon broke down and did the same thing they had done before he came to the club - underperform and let the fans down.

As bad as this season has been for everyone who works for or supports Manchester United, the decision to bring Rangnick to Old Trafford could be one of the best and smartest moves the club has made in a while. That's because the German, who was hired from Lokomotiv Moscow, has done and said things at United that haven't been talked about for far too long, which is why he was hired.

He has a lot of experience and knowledge about how to build a club, which could be very good for Manchester United in the future. It is very important that they listen to what he has to say.

However, current personnel changes indicate that he is, laying the groundwork for a summer culture revolution. Amongst all the disappointment and disinterest this season has delivered, there are reasons to be positive about the future.
