TYPES OF MINDSET

MINDSET is a belief system within an individual which one have about certain things. This belief maybe true or false but in most cases; one tends toward the false belief and this in turn hinder one in whatever he/she wants to do or achieve as planned goals.

POWER OF NEGATIVE MINDSET.

 

To start with, let me briefly explain what mindset is about and probably the types.

 

MINDSET is a belief system within an individual which one have about certain things. This belief maybe true or false but in most cases; one tends toward the false belief and this in turn hinder one in whatever he/she wants to do or achieve as planned goals.

 

TYPES OF MINDSET: 

 

1. NEGATIVE OR LIMITING MINDSET; self doubt, low self esteem, fear, resentment, guilty etc.

 

2. POSITIVE or PROGRESSIVE MINDSET; abundance, growth, joy, gratitude, love, empathy, self confidence etc.

 

Now to our main topic of discussion, "the power of negative mindset"

From the types of mindset listed above, you can see that negative mindset involves self doubt, guilty, fear, resentment and low self esteem.

 

These are not mere combination of letters to form word/sentences, they are as real as the lines on the palm of our hands.

They are kind of interwoven, have almost same meaning but how they operate differs in individual. 

 

Also, they have same goal, I mean what they do in each individual is to achieve same goals. 

 

Let me pick one or two and talk a little bit about them because of time and space, so I won't bother you unnecessarily. 

 

1. Fear: this is a serious and dangerous mindset I will say, because how it operates is overwhelming and left you wondering what really happened and why you can't do that which you ought to do.

 For instance, you want to do a presentation on a particular topic either for the first time or even you have been doing that before (like 3-5 times or more) but once fear grabs your mind, you will be totally disturbed and eventually loose focus.

 

You will find yourself asking several questions with no one to give you answers. Questions like; what if I can't be able to make my presentation smoothly? What if my audience do not pay attention while I am speaking? What if at the end of my presentation and they refused to take action as I expected of them? These and many more questions you will be asking yourself.

 

In the process of asking these questions, your time is wasted, you are disturbed as to what you can do to avert any disappointment that may occur.

From experience, I can say we have different forms of fear but the one that is common to all is the "fear of the unknown". Like you can't really point out exactly what can cause such flop or disappointment.

 

Fear affect so many aspects of your life, be it business, relationship with your partner and your friends/family etc. Fear will leave you with no joy, you won't have peace of mind (always disturbed), can lead to health challenges if not monitor on time and make the needful corrections or changes.

 

2. Self doubt and low self esteem: I combined these two because they have almost the same meaning and works the same way.

Self doubt and low self esteem often happens when you see yourself as not being enough or capable of doing that which you have strategically planned out for yourself.

 

You tell yourself often that, this particular achievement is not meant for you but for some super human beings and you forget that nobody was born with success/achievement, they gave themselves to learning, the pains that comes with it and being committed to the principle that guide them through the journey of success.

You often see yourself as a failure and you always sabotage yourself in that which you ought to be.

 

Effects of the negative mindset:

 

1. You will be unrestful and sleeplessness, 

2. Always moving away from a task ahead to achieve your goals in order to attain success, 

3. You automatically configured your brain that you can't do a particular task and as times goes by you won't want to do anything to make you succeed, 

4. Loose focus, 

5. Lack guidance, 

6. Procrastination, 

7. Giving unnecessary excuse, 

8. Brings about trust issues (in a relationship mostly). Etc.

 

Way forward to do away with negative mindset:

 

1. Pray often and give yourself to meditation,

2. Stay happy always,

3. Associate with people of positive mindset,

4. Eat healthy diet and exercise daily,

5. Plan your activities ahead of time and belief that you can achieve greatness.

 

NB: To deal with  the power of negative mindset is not an easy task, you can't achieve it at once! 

 

I seem to be scaring you right? No! I want you to know that and it is achievable only if you give yourself to learning and implementing those things you learn about how to do away with it.
