Since joining QPR on loan, Ethan Laird has been great.
The manager of Queens Park Rangers, Mick Beale, revealed that Manchester United are "delighted" with how Ethan Laird's loan stint at Loftus Road is going. Laird is now playing for QPR.
In August, the right defender moved to QPR on loan for the remainder of the season. The previous year, Laird split his time between Swansea City and Bournemouth on loan, making the move in the middle of the season between the two clubs.
Laird has appeared in eight games, during which he has scored one goal and contributed one assist. Because of the method that QPR plays and the fact that they have a very small number of players in their forward line, Laird is extremely important to the team's attack and is expected to make forward runs from the right back position.
Beale told West London Sport, "I assume in every loan arrangement there might be some sort of possibility [to recall him]," and he was referring to the player on loan. "I believe that this possibility always exists, because if the boy had moved to London and had trouble settling in or wasn't playing, there would always be a conversation about it.
"That has never changed, but I have not reviewed the contract because it is not my responsibility to do so." My role is to make it clear that I want that guy, and it goes without saying that I couldn't be more ecstatic that the club was able to sign him.
The head of Frankfurt says he has no problem with the extravagant spending of English clubs.
Oliver Glasner says that German football has no business lecturing the Premier League on how much it can spend and has no right to do so.
"I am not familiar with the specific ins and outs. My experience as an Under-23s coach at Liverpool, where I was responsible for loaning players out, as well as my time spent at Rangers and Aston Villa, where I was responsible for bringing loan players in, and now here reveals that there is always some kind of break clause for everybody.
"Right at this very second, the young man couldn't be more overjoyed to be in this location. It is obvious that he is having a great time, and this can be seen both on and off the field.
"We are really ecstatic about him, and I believe that Man United are over the moon about it as well. He was being pursued by a number of clubs, but the fact that Manchester United was one of them was a pleasant surprise. They were hoping he would sign with QPR.
"I believe that, as of right now, everyone is overjoyed with the way that things are progressing. Everything is proceeding precisely as we envisioned it would before we signed the loan deal, and we couldn't be happier. The fact that he is also a charming young man means that there is nothing unappealing about Ethan Laird.
