Due to Bruno Fernandes' unavailability, Erik ten Hag has a lineup concern for Man United

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, must make a difficult decision over Bruno Fernandes' replacement for the Sunday Premier League match at Aston Villa. After collecting his fifth warning of the season in the home victory over West Ham the previous week, Fernandes was giv

When queried about the Portugal midfielder's absence at Villa Park, Ten Hag expressed hesitancy because the player played the entire 90 minutes in United's victory over Real Sociedad on Thursday night in the Europa League.

Ten Hag declared following his team's 1-0 victory in San Sebastian: "We know that we have to change Bruno, it is quite evident.

"We need to consider how we will replace him because the time following this game is so limited. I've got one night to consider that.

After just regaining fitness, Donny van de Beek started for Sociedad, and he might make his first Premier League start of the year at Villa Park.

As an option, Christian Eriksen might move into a more important position, and Fred and Scott McTominay, who started on the bench on Thursday, can help fill in the spaces.

On Sunday, Ten Hag might still be missing Anthony, Jadon Sancho, and Anthony Martial as they work to regain their previous absences' level of conditioning.

It's tough to say at this time, Ten Hag remarked. I need to speak with the training and medical teams because they performed a session in Manchester.

When viewing United from a broad viewpoint, the final one is intriguing beyond a performance standpoint. Is the club undergoing a resurrection, adopting characteristics of a more contemporary business, and cutting links to "the way things used to be implemented"

Ten Hag has a forward-thinking manager who is attempting to establish a culture of accountability and quality.

Under Ole Gunner Solskjaer, there was no worry even at the steepest curve. United still lacked a clear playing identity and relied on chances and individualism to carry them through their finest stretches.

There was no long-term viability, and there was a perception that Solskjaer was too kind, giving the locker room too much leeway, to actually improve the standards at United.

Now that Ten Hag is in charge, there is concern from adversaries. The Dutchman has demonstrated his authority swiftly and without fuss. He is a qualified player developer as well as an appropriate coach.

"I need to know how they are doing and if they will be able to play on Sunday.

Sancho, a member of England's national team, and Brazilian winger Antony have missed United's last two games due to illnesses and leg injuries, respectively. Martial has had numerous issues throughout the season.

The French forward has only played three times in the Premier League under Ten Hag because to hamstring, Achilles, and most recently back ailments.

Unai Emery, the new head coach of Villa, will be in charge for the first time as United looks to extend their unbeaten streak in all tournaments to 10 games and keep up their top-four quest.

Additionally, Ten Hag must choose between keeping Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof at the center of defense and bringing back Harry Maguire, who came off the bench to fill in as a substitute striker versus Sociedad.

The former Ajax manager continued, "I must see because Aston Villa will be a challenging one as we don't know.

"They have a new manager, and I need to look at and analyze that game and that team before we can make a decision. But over a few more games, Lisandro Martinez and Victor exhibited excellent chemistry.

But I also believe that Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire performed admirably against West Ham United last Sunday, so that's another decision we need to make.
