For Master's degree students who will begin their studies at the University of Edinburgh Business School in September 2022, the school is providing a number of scholarships that will cover a portion of the tuition costs. The Dean's Excellence Scholarship Programme is a merit-based scholarship that is open to all students applying for taught master's degrees in the Business School.

INFORMATION | Scholarship for Academic Excellence Awarded by the Dean
You won't be able to submit an application for the scholarship until after you have been extended an offer—either conditional or unconditional—to participate in one of the programs that are qualified for it, and until you have either firmly accepted the offer or have the intention of doing so.
During the entirety of the scholarship application process, the committee charged with awarding scholarships can only take into consideration your submission if you currently have a job offer (meaning if your offer is declined at any point up until the scholarship decision deadline you will no longer be eligible). Only one application per person will be accepted for the scholarship during any given recruitment cycle.
The Criteria for Eligibility
In order to be considered for the Dean's Excellence Scholarship offered by the University of Edinburgh Business School, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- All taught masters programs are eligible to apply for the scholarships, as are all nationalities.
- Can provide evidence of strong academic performance, such as being on track to obtain or having already graduated with a minimum of a high 2.1 or 1st class undergraduate degree in the United Kingdom or the international equivalent from a university
- that has a strong academic reputation and rating.
Applicants need to demonstrate that they are capable of contributing to and enriching all parts of the Master's program, as well as the diverse intellectual and cultural profile of the Master's class. - Demonstrate outstanding professional and personal qualities by highlighting work experience and/or other extracurricular activities as evidence of your qualifications.
Procedures for Making Applications
Instructions for Applying: After you have been made an offer (either conditional or unconditional) of a place on a Masters program, you should submit an application for the scholarship through the University Scholarship Application system as soon as possible within the scholarship application rounds that are to follow.
