University of Manchester GREAT Scholarships 2022

The University of Manchester is overjoyed to share the news that it will be accepting applications for the UK Government GREAT Scholarships from international students who have a demonstrated history of academic excellence and who are interested in enrolling in one of the university'

 

The scholarship, which is jointly funded by the University of Manchester, the GREAT Britain campaign, and the British Council, provides up to £10,000 toward tuition fees for one-year master's programs in specific subject areas to students from India and Nigeria who will enroll in the 2022/23 academic year. The students must come from a country that does not have a bilateral education agreement with the United Kingdom.

DETAILS | GREAT Scholarships offered by the UK Government at the University of Manchester 2022 GREAT scholarships are jointly financed by the University of Manchester, the GREAT Britain campaign run by the UK government, and the British Council. Any student pursuing a master's degree in the School of Natural Sciences or School of Engineering, School of Law, or School of Arts, Languages and Cultures is eligible to apply for the scholarship.

The Criteria for Eligibility


Applicants are expected to achieve the following requirements in order to qualify for the UK Government GREAT Scholarships for International Students:

The applicants need to be citizens of either India or Nigeria.
Applicants need to demonstrate that they have the drive and academic chops necessary to profit from and follow a postgraduate taught course in the United Kingdom.
The University of the United Kingdom has a requirement that applicants must be proficient in the English language.
Applicants must be willing to exemplify the higher education experience in the United Kingdom by participating in extracurricular activities, attending lectures and tutorials, and acting as an ambassador for the United Kingdom's higher education system by promoting the benefits of attending a university in the United Kingdom.
Applicants need to demonstrate a willingness to create a scholarly engagement with the United Kingdom through both personal and intellectual means.
Applicants must be willing to continue communication with the British Council and act as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships by sharing their experiences of studying in the UK with other students who may be interested in applying for the scholarship in the future.
Applicants are expected to live up to the high expectations associated with the GREAT brand by acting as advocates for various scholarship opportunities.
All applicants must be willing to participate in a networking session with other GREAT scholars located in the UK to share and discuss their experiences.
Applicants must be willing to demonstrate future contribution to capacity-building and socio-economic advancement through the benefits achieved after graduating from a UK higher education about his or her own experience of studying in the UK. Procedures for Making Applications


Instructions for Applying: If you would like to be considered for the Award of British Council GREAT Scholarship in association with The University of Manchester, you will need to submit a GREAT scholarship application form before the deadline. The International Office will send an email with this information to all applicable offer-holders.

Notifications to successful applicants will be sent by the 17th of June in 2022. Explore the country profiles that are relevant to your country for more information and direction regarding the scholarship options available in your country.
