Obasa has been re-elected as the leader of the Lagos Assembly.

The Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa has been re-elected by his colleagues for a third consecutive term as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Additionally, the legislators elected the Honorable Mojisola Lasbat Meranda as the Deputy Speaker.

Obasa was re-elected unanimously following the proclamation of the 10th Assembly of the Lagos State House of Assembly by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was present in the House chamber alongside Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamza and senior government officials.

The most senior member of the House, Obasa, was nominated by the Honorable Temitope Adewale, who was supported by Sylvester Ogunkelu.

The ninth Assembly's Deputy Majority Leader, the Honorable Noheem Adams, was elected Majority Leader, while the Honorable Adedamola Kasunmu was elected Deputy Majority Leader.

The Honorable Mojeed Fatai of Ibeju Lekki 1 was elected Chief Whip, and the Honorable David Setonji was elected Deputy Chief Whip.
