Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the President conferred with the Senators-Elect and House of Representatives members-elect of the 10th National Assembly.
During the meeting, President Tinubu implored the 10th National Assembly to collaborate with his administration and urged the incoming lawmakers to support the All Progressives Congress' (APC) preferred candidates for leadership positions.
In an interview with Channels Television following the encounter, Ogah expressed his delight at meeting the President at the State House prior to the National Assembly's inauguration on June 13.

At the meeting, the Labour Party (LP) member was delighted to observe the President conversing and exchanging pleasantries with the incoming legislators.
Ogah remarked that he had no idea that the President is so "intelligent" and ready to serve the country, emphasizing that Tinubu's charisma demonstrates that he is prepared to guide the nation to greatness.
He said: “Today is my best day, today, I’m so happy seeing my President talking. In fact, I never knew that this man is so intelligent. I never knew that this man is so prepared to serve this country.

“I saw the love, I saw the character, I saw the charisma, the belief that Nigeria can be a better nation.”
Ogah stated that he is persuaded he should support the leadership candidates nominated by the ruling APC for the House of Representatives.
He added: “So I’m so glad that the meeting we have today is going to take us a little bit to a more stabilised house. Now, even without talking to us again, we’ve agreed that we are going towards the government’s decision. Not minding, I’m of Labour Party.
“As of now, the party is not the issue; we’re talking about building the Nation, we’re talking about the unity of the nation.”
Recall that the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) proclaimed Ogah the winner of the National Assembly election on February 25, after he received 11,822 votes.

Nkiru Onyejeocha of the All Progressives Congress received 8,752 of the total number of votes cast.
The emergence of Ogah led to the retirement of Onyejeocha, who had held the position for sixteen years.
