Mathias Adidi, president of the Nigerian community in Seychelles, has informed journalist Oseni Rufai about the alleged apprehension of Nigerian citizens in the country.

According to Mr. Adidi, a drug syndicate in Nigeria is using Nigerians to smuggle drugs into Seychelles.

Adidi tweeted on Sunday, 2 July 2023, that seven Nigerian nationals had been arrested  on Friday.

"My name is Mathias Adidi, and I am the leader of the Nigerian community in Seychelles. Please assist us in informing Nigerians.

Someone in Nigeria is transporting Nigerians to Seychelles with drugs. And is not secure, as they are arrested  daily. Seven Nigerians were arrested last Friday, he wrote.
