Pete Edochie speaks on his son, Yul and May’s impending divorce (video)

The movie legend stated this in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.


Pete Edochie, a veteran Nollywood actor, has asserted that his daughter-in-law, May Edochie, has received unfavorable counsel to terminate her marriage to his son, Yul Edochie.

This was expressed in a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo by the legendary actor.


This information follows reports that May has filed for divorce and obtained a restraining order against her spouse to prevent him from entering their former marital residence.

In the interview, the 76-year-old actor lauded May and professed his profound love and affection for her, revealing that he was close with her father.


He also disclosed that she is a woman of exceptional intelligence and that few are aware that she is a computer whiz. He commended her further for the success of her marriage to his son up until this point.

He stated, however, that she has been receiving negative advice from people urging her to divorce her spouse, particularly from women who have experienced broken homes.

Sir Pete said in part,

“We just heard Yul suddenly picked a second wife. Mary (May) is a very wonderful woman. The success of that marriage is to Mary’s credit. A lot of people have been advising her wrongly and most of them don’t have good homes.”
