Approach made: Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel replies to Manchester United's approach.

Despite reports that Manchester United have enquired about appointing Thomas Tuchel as their next manager, Tuchel's response appears to be that he is content where he is at the moment.

At this point, the Chelsea manager would be a great fit for Manchester United. Some say there aren't many good options for them at the moment, but that's not true.

Pep Guardiola at Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool are two of the best managers in the world of football, and they are also the two who are now in charge of their biggest rivals.

Tuchel, on the other hand, isn't far away, and the ambiguous situation at Chelsea right now could make him a plausible target.

For them, it looks like the German tactician is happy where he is and doesn't want to move to Manchester.

As Florian Pletternberg says in the tweet above, Tuchel adores Chelsea and the city of London, despite the fact that Manchester United is interested in him.

It's intriguing to see Manchester United FC formalize their interest in the Champions League winner with a formal approach, as they appear to be seriously considering the winner.

In other news, the Manchester Evening News reports that Ajax manager Erik ten Hag has retained his position as the club's preferred candidate.
