For a forward transfer, Manchester United will compete against Real Madrid.

When it comes to acquiring Everton striker Richarlison this summer, Manchester United is expected to face competition from Real Madrid, according to reports.

A standout performer at Goodison Park for some time now, it's likely that the Brazil international is contemplating his future at the moment, especially given his club's problems to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Manchester United and Real Madrid have both been linked with a move for Richarlison, according to CaughtOffside, and Goal now claims that the two clubs are also interested in the 24-year-old.

The Red Devils could use the addition of a young attacking player like Richarlison as a long-term successor for the aging Cristiano Ronaldo, but Real Madrid have the advantage of having a relationship to Carlo Ancelotti.

Manchester United wants Richarlison.

While on loan at Liverpool, Richarlison flourished under the Italian tactician, and according to Goal, he has expressed interest in bringing the youngster with him to the Bernabeu.

Everton would almost certainly prefer to sell to a foreign buyer rather than a Premier League opponent, so there's every reason to believe that MUFC will have a difficult time closing the transaction.

Richarlison might not be able to play in the Champions League next season since United is struggling, although Real would have no problem doing so.
