At Manchester United, the club's managerial candidate "has not blown anybody away."

Following recent interviews with Erik ten Hag, Manchester United is beginning to have reservations about hiring the Dutch manager.

However, despite the fact that Ten Hag was one of the first managers to be interviewed by Manchester United, it does not appear that the club is very impressed with the 52-year-old.

In the words of a source from The Independent, Ten Hag has "not blown people away" during the interview process, and they are apparently concerned about his character because he does not appear to be particularly personable.

Multiple Ajax players were mentioned by Ten Hag as possible new additions for the club. In addition, the failure of players such as Donny van de Beek and Memphis Depay to live up to expectations at Old Trafford, despite the fact that they came from the same league, has raised concerns among club management.

Nobody has been able to convince Manchester United's board of directors that they are the ideal person for the job yet. They have every right to be upset, given some of the decisions they have made in recent years.

Since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, the likes of David Moyes and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have failed to take the club in the correct direction. As a result, United are likely being a little more rigorous in their interview process.

A new manager who doesn't bring success back to the club is something the board will be wary about. The Manchester club has yet to find a manager who can even come close to replicating Ferguson's success during his time in charge.
