Postdoctoral Fellowships at the Cancer Research Institute 2023

There's good news! A postdoctoral fellowship at the CRI Irvington is presently available. Here, we'll go through the ins and outs of the CRI Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship, as well as the steps involved in applying.

For overseas students, the CRI Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship 2023-2024 is a fully financed award. Postdoctoral research studies are eligible for this award. This scholarship grants up to $59,000 each year in addition to a $1,500 stipend to help with research supplies, travel to scientific meetings, and/or health insurance for the fellow.

Through the Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) supports highly qualified young researchers in leading academic institutions and research facilities all around the world who are interested in obtaining training in cancer immunology or basic immunology.

Postdoctoral fellowships encourage young qualified researchers to receive immunology and cancer immunology essentials at the world's major universities and relocation centers. A committee of the science consultative board will review each applicant. CRI is particularly interested in cancer immunology research.

CRI Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified for the Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at CRI Irvington, the following points should be taken into account:

  • English is the only language required.
  • All countries in the world are eligible.
  • An applicant must be working in an area closely relevant to immunology or cancer immunology in order to be eligible for the Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship. Cancer-related research must fall within the broad subject of immunology and have a direct impact on the disease.
  • By the time the award is activated, applicants must obtain a doctoral degree, and they must undertake their intended research under the supervision of a sponsor with a formal appointment at the host university.
  • Applicants who have relevant postdoctoral experience that totals five years or more are not eligible. The only exception to this rule is for applicants seeking a medical degree; in their evaluation, the number of years spent in residency should not be factored in.
  • To be eligible for a fellowship, a candidate must have worked in the sponsor's laboratory for at least three years prior to the start date of the fellowship.
  • In order to receive a fellowship, you must work at a non-profit institution in the United States or another country. Citizenship is not a factor.
  • Faculty sponsors may have no more than three CRI-funded fellows at any given time, with a limit of one fellow per application round.
