Ugandan church members clap for 3 hours ‘to break GWR’ – VIDEO

The church engaged in continuous clapping for more than three hours.

A church in Uganda tried to establish a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest applause.
A now-viral video depicts churchgoers applause without the use of vocalizations, foot stomping, or musical instruments.

Ugandan church Phaneroo Ministries attempted to shatter the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest applause.

At a Sunday service with the theme "Clap for Jesus," the congregation appeared to have clapped continually for 3 hours and 16 minutes.

Phaneroo Ministries intended to surpass the current record of 2 hours and 5 minutes set by Stevens Clark, who demonstrated his applauding ability at a UK festival in 2019.

In a video that went viral, churchgoers were seen applauding without any vocalizations, foot stomping, or musical instruments.

Phaneroo Ministries stated that they obtained GWR's approval prior to carrying out the feat.

The GWR has not commented on the church's effort as of yet. The evaluation of the documentation and determination of whether or not the accomplishment will be accepted as a new record can take up to 12 weeks.
