Pep Guardiola's team wins the Manchester Derby in spectacular fashion thanks to goals from Phil Foden and Erling Ha

Premier League leading scorer Haaland placed Man City in third place, two points below leaders Tottenham, with goals just after halftime, setting up Foden to win the Manchester clash.

Man Utd is in eighth place and has now lost six out of their last eight games against Pep Guardiola's team.

Erling Haaland scored two goals and Phil Foden scored another to help Manchester City win against their rivals Manchester United. The final score was 3-0, and the game took place at Old Trafford. This win moved Manchester City up to third place in the Premier League standings, with only two points behind the top team, Tottenham.

The City team had previously lost their last two games away from home in the Premier League but they were too strong for the United team. Despite United's recent series of close victories and a lot of players being injured, they still have problems to solve in every area of the field. If Andre Onana didn't make some great saves, the score could have been much higher.

A year ago, Haaland and Foden each scored three goals in a match that City won 6-3. Even after 12 months, the difference between the Manchester teams is still very big.

Haaland scored his first goal from a penalty kick, after Rasmus Hojlund fouled Rodri in the penalty area and the referee, Paul Tierney, gave a penalty after reviewing the incident on the pitchside monitor.  though it was not a serious foul, but former referee named Mike Dean believed it was definitely against the rules and deserved a penalty.

Haaland, the top scorer in the Premier League, scored his 11th goal of the season with a powerful header after half-time. It was a copy of a previous opportunity at the end of the first half. Onana made an amazing save, but this time Haaland gave the goalkeeper no chance.

Onana stopped Haaland from getting a third goal in a one-on-one situation. Shortly after, Haaland chose not to try scoring again and instead passed the ball to Foden for an easy goal, which gave City a big lead.

The city has won six out of the last eight games against their rival teams, in all competitions. They had an easy victory in this game. In the first half, Scott McTominay took a shot that Ederson had to save by tipping the ball over the crossbar. In the second half, Marcus Rashford missed a chance to score. However, Pep Guardiola, the coach of Manchester City, has a strong record in this Manchester derby, having won many times before.

The manager of United, Erik ten Hag, was unable to figure out how to win the game and his team remains in eighth place, trailing Spurs by 11 points.

United started the game strong and wanted to show their skills. They quickly attacked their highly regarded opponents. Victor Lindelof, who was playing in an unusual position on the left side, kicked the ball over the goal. Within two minutes, McTominay took a shot at Ederson, the opposing team's goalkeeper.

Charlton recalled

Players from both Manchester United and Manchester City, who have played in the past and are currently playing, showed their respect for Sir Bobby Charlton before the game started. The entire audience at Old Trafford also joined in by clapping for the legendary former player of United and England, who has now passed away.

But City quickly took control and United were saved by Onana and Harry Maguire, who were their heroes in Tuesday's Champions League, in just nine minutes. Onana stopped Foden's header from going into the goal from a short distance, and then he managed to stop Haaland from scoring on the second attempt. Maguire saved the ball from going into the goal from his own goal-line. This would be the first of many great saves by the goalie.

The city team had full control of the game when Hojlund pulled Rodri in the penalty area during a free-kick. Referee Tierney was told by VAR Michael Oliver to look at the monitor on the side of the pitch. Haaland remained calm and scored the penalty after a long wait, during which Onana was given a yellow card for taking too much time.

It seemed like he might apologize for his wrongdoing that caused the penalty, but John Stones quickly caught up to him and made an important touch to make him miss the goal.

It was a special moment for United but they had another chance before halftime. McTominay took a shot from outside the box and Ederson made a great save. Onana did better than the other goalkeeper right before halftime. He quickly moved across his goal line to stop a header from Haaland that was going to score a goal.

Ederson had to do more work at the beginning of the second half when Bruno Fernandes took a shot that dipped. However, Haaland managed to score another goal with a header, beating Onana. This made it very difficult for the home team to catch up. The city's power became nearly complete from that time onward.

Grealish and Haaland couldn't score a goal because Onana stopped their shots. But, Onana's block led to Haaland passing the ball to Foden, who scored the third goal. This made the home fans even more unhappy, as they had booed when Ten Hag decided to substitute Hojlund a few minutes before.

Rashford had another chance to score for United. He controlled a high pass with his chest near the goal, but Kyle Walker was defending and coming back quickly. This made Rashford take longer to shoot and unfortunately, his shot went off target.

He hasn't scored a goal in 13 games this season, and now there are several problems for the team, like defensive injuries and issues with the midfield players Amrabat and Mount. The coach Ten Hag has a lot to deal with. The city strongly emphasized them.
